The Experts of the Future was a global outreach inviting children to answer, “What will planet Earth look like in the future?” Inspired by a workshop held for Ars Electronica Futurelab’s 25th anniversary with employees' children, the project gathers statements from young experts worldwide.

Using a three-step method, workshop participants first metaphorically prepared for a journey to a future planet by crafting a paper rocket. Next, they launched it onto a long white sheet representing outer space, with its landing spot determining the coordinates of their imagined future planets. There, they envisioned life—its inhabitants, transportation, and activities. Finally, they recorded their ideas, inspiring children at Ars Electronica Festival’s partner locations worldwide to contribute their own statements.
