Arctic Summer is a portrait of the island Tromsø in Northern Norway and its surrounding areas in times of climate change. The main impact of climate change is that the average summer temperature in this subarctic region, also known as gateway to the Arctic, is usually around 15°C, which does not correspond to the lived experience of this alternative artistic travel report written in diary format. The story combines inspiration for a next travel adventure with research of the visited environment through quiet observations and the depiction of a way of life. Above all, this is revealed through the magic of the Arctic landscapes in summer, which have the power to draw its visitors in.
